Hotel Vintage Portland
Kimpton's first property outside of San Francisco, Hotel Vintage set up shop in an 1894 Portland historic building and has been forward-thinking ever since. After a comprehensive brand refresh, it’s again ground zero for a new luxury lifestyle movement centered on a modern homage to Oregon wines, and Portland’s urban social scene.
Revitalized, Inside and Out
A brand refresh accompanied a hotel renovation, and the hotel's updated interior fueled design with bold patterns and modern colors playing up the space. Elements of the original logo type were retained, while a new color palate and collateral set brought new style to the brand. Deep plums and dark reds elevate the new luxury feel and wine references alike.
An Art Movement
Walls adorned with artistic graffiti became a signature brand focal point, and inspired creative wearables for a unique t-shirt design. To retain the carefully crafted details seen throughout the hotel's interiors, the t-shirt adopted a muted color palate, letting the lines truly take shape.
A Vintage Digital Stage
Name, identity, and signature property elements unite on a Hotel Vintage splash page and hotel website that establishes a fun and energetic look and feel that implies the experience. Across desktop and mobile, guests check out or check into special offerings like lobby wine tastings, a game room, and curated bottles of wine, whether during their stay or looking to uncork their next visit.
