Since its founding in 1945, FGM Architects (FGMA) has centered its mission around building community and meaningful connections, spurring the firm’s impact and success. Now nationally recognized with eight locations serving nine diverse markets, FGMA partnered with FINE to build a digital experience that reflects the firm’s continued evolution, resonating with key audiences today while supporting future growth.
A Strategy to Stand Out
FGMA’s new website needed to do more than showcase impressive work. It needed to weave its community focus, collaborative approach, and vast expertise into a cohesive and engaging story that showcases the firm’s shared mission, versatility, and strength. Digital positioning laid the groundwork for the architecture, interface, and substance to deliver.
The experience starts on the homepage, where the lowercase wordmark greets users with a sense of warmth and approachability. Floating hero images break from expected full-bleed photography to present a range of sectors that welcome each audience. The main navigation reinforces a message of belonging with areas of expertise that connect users to information that matters most to them.
Throughout the site, dynamic content and design bring a fresh and lively feel to the experience, infusing a sense of energy and progress that mirrors the firm’s evolution.
Curating the Experience
Market and specialty “collection pages” are central to the user experience and serve as a key marketing tool for driving awareness and generating leads. Showcasing the breadth and depth that sets the firm apart, each page aggregates portfolio, team, and other relevant content to share a comprehensive, compelling narrative through the lens of a specific sector or capability. Behind-the-scenes content tags present related content to keep users interested and engaged, with a CTA to reach out at the ready.
