Hotel Zeppelin: Viceroy’s Revolutionary New San Francisco Brand
Posted in Work
Set in downtown San Francisco, Viceroy Hotels and Resorts’ Hotel Zeppelin echoes the city’s highly rebellious spirit with an engaging style. Offering a split personality brand take — by day a launchpad for tech-savvy entrepreneurs, and by night a haven to creative free-spirits — it’s a bold destination with the attitude of an era and area.

Channeling the energy of 1960s revolutionaries and creative free-spirits into a contemporary hospitality setting, the duality of Hotel Zeppelin comes to life in its positioning and brand story. Visually, the modern, minimalistic identity morphs with lighting variation to reveal embellished attributes, while collateral print techniques from glow-in-the-dark UV coating, to prismatic-tinted transparent glosses, hint at the subtle, on-site experiences that may be more identifiable to those in altered states of mind. The end result echoes the intent of the hotel, where a non-conformist experience is still a welcoming exploration.
