DCM: A Dynamic Site For A Fast-Paced Community

DCM is an international venture capital firm managing over $2.5 billion. Since 1996, they have invested in more than 200 technology companies across the U.S. and Asia. Their new website aggregates this far-reaching, global network of tech entrepreneurialism in one visually engaging, content-rich package that focuses on their dynamic community of investments around the world.
A tile-based design organizes a breadth of content types into digestible visual pieces that commingle news, investment announcements, company features, social media, spotlight case studies, and stock info. Each time the site is loaded, the tiles re-shuffle with fresh content. A robust, custom content management system helps keep the site populated, facilitating multiple languages in the process. Importantly, for their tech savvy audience, the tiles and left aligned navigation help deliver a slick, seamless responsive experience across all devices. On a mobile device, the nav slides open from the left while the office contact page and maps slide open from the right.
A localized user experience further connects DCM’s global reach. Geo-location pinpoints user location to update the site language. Once on the site, users can switch languages by clicking on custom, animated time zone clock widgets at the bottom of the nav. With a nod to DCM’s signature bold red, white, and black color palette, the site creates a totally revamped, modern gathering place for the fast-paced technology community they’ve helped create.
